Getting around

TitleLess has almost no chrome on purpose. Nearly everything runs through one small control.

The capsule is the pill at the bottom of the screen showing the site you are on. It does three things:

• Tap it to open Home — the box with the address field, your tabs, history, downloads and settings. It opens carrying the current address, so you can edit it and stay in the same tab.
• Press and hold it for the page menu: share, bookmark, print, desktop site, downloads and settings.
• Swipe it left or right to move between open tabs.

The capsule slides out of the way while you scroll down, and comes back when you scroll up or reach the top of the page.

Everything else:

• Back and forward — swipe in from the left or right edge, as in Safari.
• Reload — pull down at the top of a page.
• New tab — the + in the tab list, or New Tab in the page menu.
• Private browsing — open the tab list and tap Private.

If you would rather the downward drag opened Home instead of reloading, turn on Settings → Home & Appearance → Open Home by swiping down. The capsule then reloads when tapped, so both are still one gesture away.

Blocking

Settings → Privacy → Block Ads & Trackers chooses how much is blocked. Higher levels block more and break more sites. If a page misbehaves, try a lower level before assuming the site is broken.

Settings → Privacy → Safeguards holds the individual defences — fingerprinting, JavaScript, cookie notices, pop-ups and HTTPS-Only — along with the filter lists you subscribe to.

If a site fails a “verify you are human” check, that check is never blocked by TitleLess; try reloading before changing any setting.
