Privacy Policy

TitleLess is a web browser for iPhone and iPad, published by Baljinder Singh. It has no account system, no analytics, and no advertising. This policy explains what the app does with information, which is almost nothing.

What we collect

Nothing. The developer of TitleLess does not collect, receive, store or transmit any personal data. There is no server, no account, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no advertising identifier.

What stays on your device

TitleLess stores the following locally on your iPhone, so the browser can work. None of it leaves the device, and none of it is visible to the developer:

• Browsing history — pages you visit, their titles and visit times.
• Open tabs — their addresses and page state, so they survive a restart.
• Bookmarks and favourites — the sites you choose to keep.
• Downloads — files you download, in the app’s Downloads folder.
• Settings — your preferences, including your chosen search engine.
• Website data — cookies, caches and local storage belonging to the sites you visit, managed by Apple’s WebKit exactly as in Safari.

You can delete any of it from within the app. Deleting the app removes all of it.

Private browsing keeps history, tabs and website data in memory only, and discards them when the session ends.

What leaves your device, and where it goes

TitleLess is a browser, so it makes network requests on your behalf. These go to third parties, never to us:

• The sites you visit. Normal web browsing. Those sites see your requests as any browser’s.
• Your search engine. Text you type in the search field is sent to whichever engine you have selected. The default is Google. You can change it in Settings. That engine’s own privacy policy applies.
• Site icons. The browser fetches a site’s favicon from that same site, to show beside its tab. No third-party icon service is used.
• Filter list updates. Ad and tracker filter lists are plain text files downloaded from their publishers, such as EasyList. These requests contain no information about you or your browsing — only a request for the list itself.

Content blocking

TitleLess blocks ads and trackers using public filter lists. Most blocking is done by Apple’s WebKit from rules compiled on your device, which means the app itself never sees the addresses of the resources being blocked.

Children

TitleLess gives access to the open web and is not directed at children.

Any change to this policy will be published on this page with a new date.
